Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Today Republican (and Tea-Party darling) Michele Bachmann announced that she is launching a campaign to be president in 2012.
Lets pause for a moment to let that sink in. In a year or so Americas president, in the Whitehouse, managing the economy, declaring wars, representing America to the world, could be Mad Michele. Don’t laugh. Reagan got in. So did Bush Jr.
This is the lady, you’ll recall, who suggested that gay singer Melissa Etheridge should repent being a lesbian after she got cancer. In a country like America where gun massacres happen repeatedly she declared ”I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on the issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back.” She was in the vanguard of lies over ‘death panels’. She regularly denies global warming and asserts that ‘hundreds of the best scientists’ don’t believe in evolution. I could go on, but you get the idea.
Personally I can’t wait. As you know, I think American politics is black comedy. A sleazy, snake-oil carnival show designed to create the illusion of a democracy where none exists. Once you accept the truth of that, its all entertainment and the freakier the better. So my fingers are crossed for Bachmann as Prez and Sarah Palin for VP. Now that would be my dream ticket. Think of the lulz ..:))

agree. Be afraid, be very afraid. She could win it, and we’d be in it. Deep shit, I mean.
my Bachmann posts or reposts,...am not quite as despondent as Ellie about
